Balancing Your Brain
Hello. A dear friend of mine named Betsy made me a labyrinth pillow in 2001 when she opened up a new stitchery, applique business. Did you know that when you follow the trail of a labyrinth all the way through, it balances your brain? When you follow the trail with the left hand, it balances the right side of your brain, and if you do it with the right hand, it balances the left side of your brain.
Facilitate the Energy
Believe it or not, in our early groups, Adironnda would give this pillow away to people. It’s a little worn right now, but they would give the pillow away to people and ask them to follow the trail of the labyrinth and balance their brain every day. As they did, they utilized the right and the left side of their brain, and it helped them facilitate that energy more clearly. I ask you, build a labyrinth. You can YouTube the process; there are all kinds of videos. Follow a labyrinth.
Start Your Day
Follow a labyrinth. A labyrinth is an ancient tool, and the first recorded labyrinth came from Egypt in the 5th century B.C. I wanted to share this with you as a way to start your day because I know everything is not in balance right now. I understand that. We get the opportunity to balance ourselves clearly, so this is what we’re doing. I’m going to start doing the brain balancing using the labyrinth each day for seven days. It is so fascinating as I follow the labyrinth path I can feel it working. I feel calmer.
You know, there is a difference between a labyrinth and a maze. A labyrinth, there’s only one way in and one way out, and a maze, there are many ways in and many ways out, and there are stoppers, so they’re more frustrating. A labyrinth is, really, a meditation tool. The shape is like a mandala, which is a meditation tool. Try that. You can make a seven-circuit labyrinth easily, then balance your brain with it and see how it affects your meditation—just a thought. Namaste, y’all. Namaste.
