Totally burned out… no real sense of purpose.
Hi Adironnda, it’s me, Joeaux,
Not too many years ago, … as on any other weekday, I woke up, I exercised, and I ate breakfast. I checked my email before commuting one hour to my corporate job in Santa Monica, California.
I sipped some coffee and watched as I typed at email – – – to my boss.
I won’t be coming into the office.
Then, I watched myself push ‘send.’
Realizing what I had just done, I panicked. I thought, Cr@p! How can I get that email back? . . . While my mind and my heart raced to find a solution… my cell phone rang. It was my boss.
She said, “Why don’t you take the day to just go sit at the beach?”

So, I went to the beach and sat. I did “nothing” for four solid hours. I watched the waves come in and go out. I watched the seagulls, listened to their calls. I breathed in the salt air and wiggled my toes in the sand. Then, the tears began to edge out over my eyes.
I had a major breakthrough.
At that time, I had no idea that what I was doing was called “meditating” or that I could talk with my “guides.” A spiritual path wasn’t part of my reality.
Yet, I did get clear on what it was I wanted to do with my life.
I went back to work the next day and resigned, sold all my belongings, moved to another state and, eventually, even became spiritually employed.

Looking back, I know who wrote that email. It was me – – – my Higher-Self me! Now, I meditate daily and often, and it usually involves nature as it did on that very special day.
I share this story because meditation is so powerful in my life, as it is in Marilyn’s. It is a daily habit! That’s why we created Meditation Mastery – 21 Days to an Awesome Life!
