This week, Marilyn Harper talks about a personal and spiritual empowerment quest you can do these holidays. It’s about giving yourself the gift of you.
Without further ado, watch Marilyn Harper on the video below to receive this week’s spiritual message.
The Gift of You
This is my picture. I think I was in the third grade. I’ve been over at my mother’s house and clearing things out, and I found this picture, and I thought, “Oh, you poor thing.”
First of all, I remember I was very proud to be wearing a hand-me-down dress from my sister. Not that it was a hand-me-down dress, I’d loved wearing her clothes, because she was my big sister. But you know, and I’m thinking, “Where was this child? Where is this child as I am becoming me?”
When you look at pictures of yourself, and you think of the family that you grew up in, the family that you experienced, you can say, “Oh, it was wonderful, it was great, it was so much fun.” Or you can say, “Oh, my goodness, how did I survive that family?” Well, your family is a part of you, and you are magnificent in all of your glory.
Your personal and spiritual empowerment
So take that little child that is within you, no matter if they have a bad haircut or what, and love them, love who they have become. That’s your personal and spiritual empowerment quest during these holidays, give yourself the gift of you.
What does that mean, the gift of you? I’ll let you figure it out.
